Mom, where do butterflies come from?

Well, while at the Botanical Garden at Balboa Park in SD,CA we saw two butterflies mating...

We saw caterpillars:)

And we saw cocoons.

That's everything right?  How do you explain "mating" to a 4 yr old?

Uncle Lionel's Camellias

As my family and I were going through closets and boxes to clean up for the new year I found a letter that Uncle Lionel had typed and given me before my wedding.  That means it was well over 10 yrs old. I really loved that guy!!  He had prize camellias... see below:)
